NAVCA and performance management

There is no independent performance standard for national infrastructure organisations, but NAVCA uses the following tools to assess and improve its effectiveness:

PQASS0: we have achieved PQASSO 1 and many requirements under 2 and 3.

Investors in People: we currently hold the IiP award, and will seek a renewal of this in 2007-08. We also participate in the Positive about Disabled People scheme.

PERFORM: we used this outcomes-based planning framework for infrastructure organisations to guide the creation of our strategic plan for 2006-11. This forms the basis of our annual work plan.

KPIs: Each year, we establish a number of key performance indicators against each of the outcomes in our strategic plan. We measure our progress against these and other objectives through our regular survey of members' opinion of NAVCA's work.

More information about our strategic plan and KPI can be found in our Looking Ahead document.
