Every Action Counts

Every Action Counts (EAC) is an innovative programme that will engage national and local voluntary and community sector organisations in work to protect and improve our environment and to deliver sustainable development solutions. The project provides support and resources for voluntary and community groups and community development workers.

Has EAC turned your life green?

Have you reduced waste in the office?

  • Is your team now drinking fairtrade coffee?
  • Have you cut down car use?
  • Can you be bothered to switch off your screen?

These are all small actions which count towards saving the planet. If you have been on the Every Action Counts training course, then get in touch. Let EAC know what you learnt and what you have done. EAC would also love to hear stories about how your community organisation or CVS has been inspired by Every Action Counts to take simple green actions. Contact jane.oconnell@navca.org.uk

A motion on Climate change, sustainable development and the local voluntary and community sector was passed at NAVCA's AGM on 12 September 2007.

NAVCA has also signed the Third Sector Declaration on Climate Change.

Thanks to NAVCA members, almost 500 local third sector organisations have 'gone green' by registering with the Every Action Counts website. It's free and has a wealth of helpful information.

NAVCA members have also recruited almost 70 Community Champions, who will work with local groups to create a cleaner, greener, fairer and safer community.
