We organise a wide range of events, workshops and training programmes designed to bring together everyone with an interest in voluntary and community action.

Workshops and training programmes

We offer courses tailored to the needs of chief officers and senior managers and development workers.

Our courses can help local support and development organisations adapt to the difficulties they now face and support these organisations in their development work.

We also provide workshops and training courses for organisations who find themselves with particular local challenges.

These courses include using public law and the Compact to negotiate effectively with local public bodies and a range of learning opportunities focusing on commissioning and procurement.

Chief Officers' Residential Event

Every year we run a residential event for chief officers and senior managers from local support and development organisations.

These events are a mixture of networking, learning and personal development.

Championing local voluntary action

NAVCA's Parliamentary reception is a great chance for our members, partners, friends and parliamentarians to come together and recognise the work of our movement. The event, sponsored by Zurich, will take place in February and invitiations are being sent out soon.

Annual conference and agm

Our annual conference and agm is one of the highlights of the year. It is when NAVCA members and other like-minded people get together to celebrate the strength of our movement, share best practice and motivate each other to continue to do great work.
