Throughout the year we organise a wide range of events designed to bring together everyone with an interest in voluntary and community action at local, regional and national levels.
Annual conference and agm
Our annual conference and agm is one of the highlights of the year. It is when NAVCA members and other like-minded people get together to celebrate the strength of our movement, share best practice and motivate each other to continue to do great work.

Using the law to challenge unfair decisions
A chance to learn how you can use public law to protect your organisation or your sector from unfair funding decisions.
NAVCA has been at the forefront of helping organisations challenge unfair decisions for more then six years. In that time, we've trained more than 2,000 people in 200 workshops in the use of public law and the compact.
These events are an extension of this support and can provide you with the knowledge you need to understand if you've been treated unfairly and what to do next.
Chief Officers' Residential Event

Every year we also run a residential event for chief officers and senior managers from local support and development organisations.
These events are a mixture of networking, policy updates and professional and personal development.
NAVCA's 2013 Chief Officers' Residential Event (CORE) will take place on 17 -18 September at the Park Inn by Radisson in York. The venue is a five minute walk from the railway station and overlooks the river.
NAVCA orientation days
A couple of times a year we organise an orientation, learning and networking event for senior staff in NAVCA member organisations.
We're aiming to run our next event in the autumn at our offices in Sheffield. Register your interest in attending by emailing events@navca.org.uk.

Events in your area
We recognise that large national events aren't suitable for everyone. That's why we are committed to running as many events around the country as possible.
We are currently running the following:
| Local Healthwatch | Workshops to provide participants with the an introduction to basic skills they need to get involved with local Healthwatch. |
|
| A year long programme of two day masterclasses to build the voluntary sector’s commercial skills for public service delivery. | ||
| Criminal Justice Commissioning and Collaboration | An interactive training day exploring how collaboration could help you succeed in the criminal justice commissioning environment. |
If you enter your email address, we will notify you when we change this page.
