Top tips on providing
successful commissioned services
NAVCA held a commissioning event in Liverpool on 21 April 2009
for LIOs and third sector groups providing and delivering services
for children and young people.
The event, planned by NAVCA's Every Child Matters Adviser in
partnership with Community Matters, was a mixture of presentations
and workshops that gave delegates:
- information on the commissioning process
- an opportunity to find out more about local structures and
systems
- a chance to hear from regional and local
commissioners.
Over 40 delegates attended the event held at the Lace Conference
Centre in Croxteth. There were opportunities to network and discuss
issues and concerns with colleagues from the region and delegates
scored the event highly in their feedback. Comments included:
"Felt like a safe environment to discuss a complex area of
work"
"Challenging Day - Thank you"
"Really interesting and thoughtful day will encourage me to find
out more about local structures in my area."
"A good day to get relevant knowledge regarding commission".
