NAVCA held its first Every Child Matters Conference on 30 March
2009, at the conference centre in Birmingham CVS. The event
attracted over 80 delegates from around the country representing
LIOs and groups and organisations delivering and providing services
for children young people and their families. Focusing on the five
outcomes of the Every Child Matters framework and detailing the
Aiming High for Disabled Children programme the day was a mixture
of presentations and interactive workshops.

Workshops also provided a chance for a detailed look at
commissioning and procurement,
the new third sector safeguarding unit, effective partnership
working and sports and the third
sector.
With opportunities to network and discuss issues and concerns
with colleagues from around the country during, delegates scored
