Introducing commissioning and procurement

Overview

Get an overview of commissioning and procurement while increasing your knowledge and understanding of local commissioning.

On this course you will learn what commissioning is, what it entails, how to be involved and how you can prepare for the competitive world of tendering. This session will give you the knowledge to decide how important commissioning is for your own organisation and what actions you can take to make the most of it.

This day covers all the basics of what you need to know about commissioning and procurement. It explains the commissioning cycle, how a procurement approach is different to grant funding, describes good practice and covers the basics of submitting a good tender.

The course is delivered by a member of NAVCA's Commissioning and Procurement Unit.

Prices

All courses cost £490 + VAT + trainer expenses per day.

This price secures a trainer and materials at a location of your choosing (all you need to do in addition is book the venue / refreshments and promote the course).  This gives you the opportunity to generate additional income by inviting up to 20 people to the day as part of your offer to your local groups. On an average course this means each delegate could pay less than £40 each.
