Every Action Counts (EAC) is an innovative programme that will
engage national and local voluntary and community sector
organisations in work to protect and improve our environment and to
deliver sustainable development solutions. The project provides
support and resources for voluntary and community groups and
community development workers.
A motion on Climate change,
sustainable development and the local voluntary and community
sector was passed at NAVCA's AGM on 12 September 2007.
NAVCA has also signed the
Third
Sector Declaration on Climate Change.
Thanks to NAVCA members, almost 500 local third sector
organisations have 'gone green' by registering with the
Every Action
Counts website. It's free and has a wealth of helpful
information.
NAVCA members have also recruited almost 70 Community Champions,
who will work with local groups to create a cleaner, greener,
fairer and safer community.
