LIOs supporting organisations that work with offenders and their families

Clinks

There has been growing recognition within the Prison and Probation Services of the importance of the third sector and the range of services they can provide for offenders, ex-offenders and their families.

Third sector organisations are well placed to help NOMs (National Offender Management Service) deliver services and support that can help reduce crime. They bring valuable local knowledge, expertise, specialist skills and a fresh and innovative approach to working with offenders.
This work not only benefits the offender and his or her family, but also the prison and probation services and our communities and society as a whole.

These resources are provided by the Supporting Work with Offenders Project, which is based at NAVCA and supported by Clinks . The Project is designed to offer LIOs the information and resources required to enable them to effectively support frontline local third sector organisations who work with offenders, ex-offenders and their families.
