Clinks

Clinks was established in 1998 as an umbrella organisation to strengthen and develop the partnerships between voluntary organisations and community groups and the Prison and Probation Services in England and Wales. Their work includes national policy development as well as regional and local partnership work. Clinks provides its members - mostly third sector organisations, with a variety of useful and essential resources including publications and newsletters, events, training and capacity building, and access to GRANTnet.

A more recent strand of Clinks' work is the NOMS (National Offender Management Services) funded Infrastructure Programme which was established to help reduce adult re-offending and protect the public, and to facilitate communication and engagement between NOMS and voluntary organisations and community groups. Clinks was awarded funding through this project to deliver:

  • outcomes in relation to representation and voice,
  • communication and partnership working,
  • capacity building.

The NAVCA Supporting Offenders project is funded by Clinks

For more information visit the Clinks web site.

If you would like to find organisations working in this field who are in your area, the Clinks offenders directory can help you do this. It is an online database of voluntary and community organisations working with offenders and their families. Promote your organisation's work to all those who use the directory, including voluntary and community organisations, Prison and Probation officers, commissioners and offenders. Listing your organisation's details is FREE, quick and easy to do online.

If you currently work with organisations who may benefit from being listed in the directory, please sign them up.
