NAVCA recognises that all our activities have environmental
impacts. Our organisation has a responsibility to protect our
environment and our actions can make a difference. NAVCA members
and staff are encouraged to consider the effects of everything we
do on the national and global environment.
NAVCA has a
sustainable development policy and
action plan; more information is also available in
Making NAVCA
more environmentally sustainable.
A motion on Climate change,
sustainable development and the local voluntary and community
sector was passed at NAVCA's AGM in 2007.
NAVCA has also signed the
Third
Sector Declaration on Climate Change.
Articles on environmental issues are also included in our
newsletter,

Every Action Counts
NAVCA was part of a consortium delivering Every Action Counts
(EAC). This Defra-funded programme engaged national and local third
sector organisations in work to protect and improve our environment
and to deliver sustainable development solutions. The programme ran
from autumn 2006 until March 2009.
The Every Action
Counts website will remain active until end of June, and you
can still access a host of useful information on how to make your
organisation more environmentally sustainable:
