NAVCA goes back to school
21/10/2011
NAVCA's staff members went back to school earlier this week when they took part in an employee action day, giving the grounds of Auckland School in Doncaster a makeover. The day was organised by BTCV. It allowed NAVCA staff to help a local school, whilst also building team spirit and team working.
Activities on the day included clearing a pond, making insect houses, painting outdoor furniture and planting fruit trees. The day also included an "authentic" school dinner.
Carolyn Ellis, NAVCA's Events and Business Support Administrator, who arranged for NAVCA to take part in the day said;
"Staff team chose to take part in a community activity instead of a more traditional away day that would involve sitting in a room with flip charts. The action day allowed us to build team spirit and work towards a common goal that benefitted the community and the environment'.
