Change for Children: Evaluating our work with local support and development organisations

Change for Children

NAVCA's members are not usually described as children and young people's organisations, yet they provide valued support to a local voluntary and community sector in which a third of staff work with children, young people and families.

Keeping children healthy and safe, and supporting them to achieve their full potential in life, free from poverty and other disadvantage, is a big ambition for society, and the voluntary and community sector plays a significant role in it.

This evaluation has gathered data, feedback and comment from recipients of support, national stakeholder organisations, government departments and agencies, partners and the project funders. The purpose has been to demonstrate NAVCA's impact on the sector's

effectiveness in contributing to the children, young people and families' agenda. The evaluation examined past performance and also looked ahead, asking questions on how the outcomes and gains might be extended into the future.
