In January 2010 the Kindle partnership (of which NAVCA is a member) published Commissioning and the Community Sector, which aims to help community organisations to understand what commissioning is and how they can become 'commission ready'.

Commissioning and the Big Society is a companion publication to help commissioners to understand the role that community organisations can play and how to ensure that they make the most effective contribution to the lives of children and young people.

Commissioning and the Big Society: the role of the community sector - A guide for commissioners (pdf, 1.09 MB).
