Reducing Unnecessary Bureaucracy

Unshackling Good Neighbours: Report of the Task Force established to consider how to cut red tape for small charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.

This report published in May 2011 looks at many issues facing voluntary and community sector organisations. As well as proposing changes and making recommendations, the report can also act as a useful tool for making a difference locally as it challenges many of the myths and exposes poor practice. There are many case studies and practical examples that can be used to inflence at a local level. Therefore organisations that are facing bureaucratic hurdles can use the report as a reference tool and can use it in discussions with public bodies.
