NAVCA is co-ordinating a network of ICT regional champions who
are available in each region to help support providers in the third
sector
Building on established networks, each regional champion will be
the key contact in signposting to existing ICT providers. They will
work with sub-regional infrastructure organisations offering a
range of services including guidance to develop improved ICT
support for local third sector groups.
The aims of the project are :
- To impartially signpost organisations within each region to the
appropriate existing trusted local providers of the ICT support and
services they request
- To identify the gaps that exist in provision of ICT support
services in each region and where possible to work with the
existing local infrastructure providers and to share best practice
within and across regions to fill these gaps
- To increase the knowledge and understanding that members of
each sub-regional consortia have around both how they can make most
effective use of their own ICT to improve their own efficiency and
that of the organisations they work with
- To increase the level of funding available within their region
designated for the support of ICT infrastructure
organisations.
Contact details of each champion are available by downloading
the
list of ICT champions or on the
blog website which has links to the website of
each one.
