- Do you wish you could have the opportunity to take some time to
reflect on the issues you are dealing with?
- Would you like the opportunity to share your experiences with
peers and develop realistic action plans?
- Do you wish to continue to develop your learning but not
through a training course?
This could be the option for you.
SKiLD has promoted a pilot on e-peer action learning sets
programme for experienced development workers. The aim of the
programme was to incorporate the principles of action learning by
giving development workers a space to raise real issues and
problems and an opportunity to explore options with fellow
colleagues as well as developing strategies for solving the issue.
Development workers would be able to gain practical help, support
and insight to help both their personal and professional
development.
Feedback from previous Action Learning sets:
"It was a nice surprise to see how easy it was to be involved ...
after many of the sessions I felt motivated and it felt good to go
straight back to work and start trying to address my issues. I
really did enjoy being part of it and would thoroughly recommend
it".
"The session has given me a lot to think about. It has given me
a boost of energy to address some of my issues. I enjoyed the
session and learning about the issues that we all have as well as a
range of opportunities for us to access."
There are still a few Action Learning toolkits left. For further
