Skild's overall aim is to give development workers the skills and knowledge they need to support groups well. A key way of doing this is by encouraging development workers to support each other via local networks.

To find out if there's a network in your area email skild@navca.org.uk.

Skild on navcaboodle

Navcaboodle is a social network for the third sector. Navcaboodle has been developed for colleagues to network, discuss and share their experiences in a number of ways:

  • Groups - join groups to discuss particular topics. Some groups are open to all and some are private to enable confidential discussion.
  • Discussion forums - take part in discussions both within groups and in the general forum.
  • Share photos and videos
  • Events - find out more about NAVCA events and promote your own using the events calendar.

Many development workers are already registered on navcaboodle and are taking part in the discussions in the SKiLD group and many of the other groups as well. For more information and to register for free with the site visit navcaboodle.
