Being responsible for organising networks of development workers
can be lonely. It may be tricky coming up with new ideas for
interesting network sessions. Staying in touch with the national
picture is hard. The chances are that if you support networks of
development workers you're already convinced of the value of
networking with others in similar positions anyway!
The Network Advisors' Group gives you the chance to
- Meet with other supporters of networks for development
workers
- Influence SKiLD 's work and both now and in the future
- Feedback into the strategic direction of the national hubs
- Share ideas for developing networks or setting up new
ones
We can pay
- overnight accommodation costs
- travel expenses
- possible payment to attend
A typical Network Advisors' Group day will include:
- Round up of the networks - and what everybody is doing
- National news potentially impacting on development workers
- Review and input into SKiLD actvities
- Creative ideas for networks - bring along your problems and
share your ideas
We don't want to exclude networks of community development workers,
but these are supported by the Community Development Exchange and
we don't want to duplicate existing services. See
www.cdx.org.uk/networking/networks.htm
for more information.
