Who Skild is for
Skild is for people who give practical support to local voluntary organisations and community groups in England.
We're calling people who do this development workers, but there are many different people doing many different jobs out there. Work might be offering general development support to groups, or specialist help such as funding advice or training. You might be called anything from a small groups advisor or funding advice worker to a training officer or legal consultant.
People who give practical support to groups are usually based in some kind of local support and development organisation. This might be a local CVS or rural community council; a specialist support organisation or a national agency.
The overall aim of Skild is to equip development workers with the skills and knowledge they need to give accessible, relevant and high quality support to local third sector groups.
