BWN is the email network for black workers in local
infrastructure organisations (LIOs). It is a forum to:
- post discussions and debates on current issues affecting
black workers
- share experiences of working in LIOs and to support/help
each other
- engage with other black workers in the
network
- raise issues affecting black workers
nationally
- act as a reference group for NAVCA to take forward issues
affecting black workers and LIOs' work with black and minority
ethnic organisations
- do anything else agreed by the members of the
network.
The network group also meets once a year at the NAVCA
annual conference.
The network is also open to voluntary and community
organisations that work with, support and complement the work of
LIOs.
