Supporting a Stronger Civil Society

Briefing iconThe Government launched a Big Society strategy for charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises in late 2010.

As part of this strategy, it ran a consultation on improving support for frontline civil society organisations, called Supporting a Stronger Civil Society. The consultation addressed some of the fundamental issues raised by NAVCA and our members.

NAVCA published a briefing on the consultation (Word, 84KB) and, following constulation with our members, released Supporting a Stronger Civil Society - NAVCA response (Word, 333KB) in January 2011.
