26 February 2010 and 4 March 2010
Leeds and London
The Third Sector National Learning
Alliance (TSNLA) is holding two key events where we can meet and
hear from senior staff at the Young People's Learning Agency, react
at the Local Government Agency and the Skills Funding Agency. We
will also have the opportunity to bring to their attention critical
issues from the third sector provider perspective. NAVCA is a key
member of the TSNLA.
There will be also be an input on the Framework of Excellence
provided by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC).
The 26 February event is in Leeds and the event on 4 March 2010 is
in London - both are half day events from 10am to 1.15pm followed
by lunch. The event in London will be followed by the TSNLA Annual
General Meeting.
Delegates will get a live update on how the new agencies and
arrangements will fit with and work in partnership with third
sector providers and representatives.
Also on offer will be the following workshops:
- How will commissioning work for young people's learning with
multi area providers - facilitated by Richard Williams of the
Rathbone Society.
- The Framework for Excellence and the third sector
- Are there funding opportunities with the new agencies?
- Skills Development Surgeries for providers seeking to access
funding from the new commissioners - A toolkit for commissioners to
work with the third sector.
