Personalisation
Social care and health services are being transformed to give people more choice, flexibility and control over their own lives. The term used to describe these changes is 'personalisation'.
We support our members in helping local voluntary organisations to engage with the personalisation agenda and to identify and respond to the opportunities and challenges it presents.
We provide information and learning opportunities, share good practice and develop practical resources to enable local voluntary organisations to be more involved in shaping personalisation.
Personalisation Health Check
NAVCA has developed a simple diagnostic tool, with accompanying guidance notes and an action plan, which can be used by local support and development organisations to undertake a personalisation health check with local voluntary organisations. It focuses on personalisation in social care, but could be adapted for health services, or other services where personalised approaches are being developed. The tool aims to help development workers to:
- assess an organisations' readiness for personalisation
- help them identify areas of strength and weakness, new opportunities and development needs in relation to the personalisation agenda
- help produce a practical action plan to enable organisations to gear up for personalisation.
