The NAVCA Quality Award is an externally audited evaluation of the services offered to voluntary and community groups by a local infrastructure organisation. It is a great way to demonstrate you are a leading provider of services in your area.
The award is assessed against the NAVCA Performance Standards and once awarded, is valid for three years. NAVCA members who hold the Quality Award have the mark by their name in our membership directory.
What is involved in the NAVCA Quality Award?
A NAVCA member will undergo a rigorous assessment process to test that it is delivering quality services to its local voluntary and community sector.
Step one: a self-assessment against NAVCA's Performance Standards.
Step two: a visit from a NAVCA-accredited auditor to check the evidence submitted (funding bodies and peer organisations may be contacted for their opinion of the organisation as part of this process).
Step three: if you demonstrate that you meet the performance standards, the NAVCA Quality Award is issued. It is valid for three years.
If you have any questions about the process, please contact us.
The Performance Standards, on which the NAVCA Quality Award is based, have been developed using our extensive experience and understanding of the local support and development agenda. The changes we have made in newly published standards and process reflect the new political and economic climate. The new process now focus on the real difference you make through work in support local voluntary and community action.
