Remember A Charity Week is Coming!

This September, more than 180 charities are joining forces to raise awareness of gifts in Wills. Remember A Charity in Your Will Week (11-17 September 2017) is a high profile campaign that celebrates legacy giving and encourages the public to consider leaving a gift to the good causes they care about.

The consortium is calling on charities across the country to join them and make this year’s awareness week the biggest yet. Remember A Charity Week is an opportunity for the sector to come together and showcase the impact and importance of gifts in Wills. Legacy giving now generates around £2.5 billion and benefits thousands of charities across the UK annually.

Rob Cope, director of Remember A Charity, said: “This year’s campaign is our most ambitious yet. We’ll be taking legacies on tour to five national cities and broadcasting nationwide throughout the week, uniting charities and their supporters with their desire to make a positive difference in the world.

“Behind the scenes, we’ll be giving national and local charities tools and support to communicate with supporters just how important legacies are to them.”

During Remember A Charity Week, the campaign will urge the public to have their say on the world they want to pass on, setting out their vision for future generations and sharing it on social media using #HaveYourSay.

Remember A Charity Week is the consortium’s biggest annual campaign designed to make legacy giving a social norm.
