Equality and inclusion

Earlier this year, we launched our Allyship Programme – giving members the chance to explore equity, equality, diversity and inclusion through networking, training and online resources. NAVCA members volunteer to take part, and we support participants to feel equipped to take what they learn back into their organisations and communities.

In early 2024, NAVCA partnered with Cadent Gas to deliver the Centres for Warmth Fund – building on the existing network of warm spaces and community hubs across the country. Working through NAVCA members, the programme has invested in trusted local organisations to increase capacity, strengthen resilience, and connect communities with vital advice and resources.

We’re delighted to share that NAVCA will be working in partnership with Clinks, the national infrastructure charity supporting voluntary organisations working with people in the criminal justice system and their families.

As the local infrastructure organisation for Sandwell, Sandwell Council of Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) plays a vital role in helping communities thrive. One of their most impactful recent initiatives has been the Emotional Wellbeing Programme – a multi-year project designed to support school-aged young people with their mental health and resilience.
